Lorie and Robert operate Belgravia Books as a team: Lorie is the captain and Robert drives the Zamboni.

But who are they really?!?

Lorie was born almost normal, but was adopted and raised by dragons from a very young age (really). Unfortunately, her inability to develop fire-breathing and aviatory skills soon made her life in the dragon cave difficult. So she emigrated to a fantasy world from which she commutes daily to the bookshop. Her passion for adult and children's fiction, Latin, and medieval history guide her in sniffing out from the most obscure lairs esoteric and delightful books for her customers (who are, of course, all normal).

Robert's favourite activity is . . . wait for it . . . wait for it . . . READING! He has misspent far too much of his life studying European and military history. For some years now he has focussed on The Great War, so much so that, when in doubt about how to deal with any situation, he simply asks: “What would Billy Bishop do?”

His more reputable hobby is furthering his understanding of art, literature, and music, and he values being in the bookstore for the chance to learn from customers about their own interests.
